Story
After our beautiful Son Matt died last year from testicular cancer, we wanted to improve the way in which teens and young adults are cared for at the Derriford Hospital Plymouth. We decided on the Teenage Cancer Trust as they support young people with a cancer diagnosis and have experience in improving age appropriate facilities for this age group who have their own unique needs. They are, in fact, the only charity to do this.
So..... My friends Sara and Maggs, aka, the Neon Ladies, will be taking a clapped out banger, the Matt Mobile from Lands End to John Ogroats. Our journey will begin on the 4th October 2014. The challenge will be extra tough because we will only have twenty quid each in our pockets. We are planning stops in the South West to have bucket collections along the way.
We are on Face Book, The MattMobile Adventures, so take a peak and feel free to comment, support, or help. We will be on Twitter and YouTube shortly-watch this space. We have been interviewed by Plymouth Hospital Radio and you can click on the link on our FB page to learn more about our amazing fun journey.
