Story
Hi Everyone
As some of you will know I have entered the Great North Run (GRN) on the 10/9/23 and will participating in aid of the Downs Syndrome Association.
This is a half marathon - 13.1 miles and just so you know I am a 57yr young complete novice when it comes to running. If I am honest its my worst nightmare running but the GRN has been on by bucket list for a long time watching every year and kept saying "I'm going to do enter that one year"!! Well now it is reality, and I will be taking part in 5 weeks time. Having followed a 12-week beginners plan which I have now completed, if I say so myself I am very proud of myself. 💪
The charity is very close to my heart as my Gorgeous Great Nephew Harry Maden-Wilkinson was born with Downs Syndrome . He is an inspiration to everyone who know him never lets anything get in his way in doing what he wants to achieve. Great little footballer and enjoys lots of other sports and big fan of Paddington Bear.
He has a wonderful Mum - Chantelle, Dad - Joe and is big brother to George who he adores and the love they share is amazing. His extended family and friends are a credit to his development over the last 4 years and they are such an amazing supporting family,
I want to achieve this as Harry never lets anything stop him from doing things and his contagious smile and hugs are all I need to think about when I feel like stopping on my runs. I LOVE him to the moon and back. ❤️
I hope you will be able to help me achieve my target. 🤞
Any donation however much you can donate will be very much appreciated. If you can share with all your family and friends, I would be very grateful.
I would like to thank you in advance for your support and donations as it means the world to me and Harry. ❤️
PS I WILL BE COMPETING WITH NO OTHER THAN MO FARAH SO HE BETTER WATCH OUT ......... LOL x
