Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was surprised, excited and now very nervous to be successful in securing a place in the ballot for this years Great North Run.

I used to run a lot back in the day but had to give it up completely for 4 years after breaking my hip badly in 2018 (I have a large piece of metalwork in my upper leg, permanently holding it altogether, lovely!) and was only given the go ahead around a year ago to start running again, and it has been a slow, hard journey but I’m getting there!

I haven't ran a half marathon for around 10 years so this is going to be a real tough one, but something i'm determined to do, and if anyone knows me, I don't give up easily!

I have decided to run for the Royal British Legion, as this is a charity very close to both my husbands and myself's heart's as Armed Forces veterans and we are both members of our local branch in Knaresborough. You can find out about all the great work they do to support both serving personnel and veterans via the following link;

I know times are tough right now so any donations, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated and help support this amazing charity.
