Story
Thank you so much for visiting Paul's Just Giving Page which we have set up to enable people to make donations to the Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch, Cardiff where Paul was being treated for cancer instead of sending flowers.
Everyone was so kind and caring at the hospital and those of you who knew Paul would appreciate he was always more of a flowers in the earth than flowers in a vase sort of guy!!
As you also may know although he was fighting throat cancer, he was doing so well and feeling positive and much of that is down to the support of the staff at Velindre. He never stopped or slowed down in the last 4 months even whilst having invasive treatment and Paul's Preserves & Pickles was a source of a great pride and happiness for him. He loved the growing, the making and the meeting people in the markets (and the pubs), he had a thriving cottage industry.
Our son, David and daughter Rebecca and I have been blown away by the hundreds of heartfelt words that people have send through Facebook, Messenger, face to face etc. It has been heartwarming for his family to know he was as loved by you as he was by us all.
We would love to welcome everyone to the funeral to celebrate his life on Thursday 21 November at 13.00 for 13.15 at Coychurch Crematorium, Simonston Road, Coychurch, Bridgend CF35 6AB and then you are all invited back to the Barn, Mwyndy, Llantrisant CF72 8PJ to share your memories, sing some songs and raise a glass or 2 to him. No black please as we want to try and remember Paul as he lived - in technicolor - if you have a Hawaiian shirt or something bright and loud, the better!!
Thank you
Sharon, David and Rebecca
