Story

Thanks for supporting Mason's first fundraiser and first 5K!  He's hoping to raise as much money as he can to help the charity and his classmate's sister.

Mason is joining a team of his classmates to raise funds for Evelyn.  Evelyn is in Juniors too, and she's fighting cancer.  Her family and friends are doing everything they can to help her through.  All of us are part of the Friends of Evelyn team.  We'll be doing the Pretty Muddy Kids Race 2021 at Sefton Park on Saturday, 25th of September... with Bindi rooting us on.

We're regulars in the park, but finishing a 5K will be a challenge and a huge achievement for Mason.  No doubt having his friends around him while be hugely encouraging when it gets tough, but I'll be there every step of the way too.  We'll finish piggyback if we have too.  But it won't come to that.  He's a strong kid and he's so proud to take part and do something to help.

Please support Cancer Research in any way you can.  I know money is tight nowadays, so we're grateful for any donations.  Every year, my aunt Kathy remembered my cousin Robert by donating to the daffodils in the park.  So, taking part in supporting cancer research, feels like the next natural step from her decades of generosity and giving.  Until there's a cure, we won't stop.

XOXO Mason and Mummy

About the charity

Cancer in children & young people (aged 0–24) is different to cancer in adults – from the types of cancer, to the impact of treatment & the long-term side effects survivors often experience. Through research we’re determined to overcome some of the different challenges these cancers present.
