Story
My lovely team of nurse colleagues and I are attempting to do an Ed Balls without a balls-up in the 2017 Strictly Top Dancer contest to raise funds for The Breast Centre, University Hospital Llandough, where we all work . At the moment, we’re more Ann Widecombe with a hint of John Sergeant, but we’re practising like mad in our lunch breaks and at weekends and with the help of our fab professional dancer coach Sam, are aiming high for a sassy salsa, raunchy rumba and more than passable paso..
Our formation dance team – none of whom have done more than dance round their handbags before - will perform in front of a 450-strong crowd (gulp) at the Swalec Stadium, Cardiff, in May. The money we raise will go towards new equipment and those little extras, like complementary therapies which, along with our support and care, can help smooth the tortuous path our breast cancer patients follow. So I’d be really grateful if you’d sponsor me. Thank you!
