Story
Tom Blake passed away on 26th October. For those of you that knew him you’ll know that dad was well liked and respected by all that knew him. He spent his life fundraising for one cause or another and even in poor health he tried to make things better for others. Since moving to Alcazar Court Dad campaigned to get activities in place for the residents He set up bingo and raffles, started a singing group and attempted to hold art classes. He spent most of his money and time working hard to transform the garden making it a nice area for residents to enjoy the peace and quiet. Many residents never came out of their room until dad arrived and I am sure he’ll be truest missed. Age Uk Enfield give help to older people and their families in the borough supporting them in many different ways from lonliness to actives to mental health etc. They represent a lot of things dad strived to make better.
