Lung cancer is still reeling from the impact of Covid. At the peak of the pandemic, lung cancer referral rates are down 75% and still remain significantly behind expected levels. This ultimately means that thousands of people will miss out on an early, and potentially life-saving, diagnosis. Thankfully, restrictions are starting to ease but we are still a long way behind where we should be and referral rates still remain low. With your help by running the Retro Running Series, however, we can raise awareness so that more people with the symptoms of lung cancer get checked out early.
