Sleep Easy 2023
Campaign by YMCA Northumberland (RCN 1076157)
This years Sleep Easy will see participants spending one night sleeping anywhere but their bed to raise awareness of youth homelessness. One night can make a lifetime of difference.

Story

Myself and my sister Nissi-Kay are participating in the the sleep easy, by giving up our bed for the night on the 10th March (tonight). We will be sleeping outside and making our bed from cardboard boxes and plastic bags in order to raise money and awareness in support of the young people facing homelessness in our community and helping prevent this.

Unfortunately the event itself has been cancelled due to predicted temperatures of -5 degrees for most of the. We felt disappointed with this so Nissi-Kay and I decided we would like to go ahead with the sleep easy and have used our camp made from boxes to sleep in our garden all night tonight. We felt it was best to stick with our plans as we have raised over our target in sponsors and did not feel we could have taken the sponsorship money without completing the challenge.

There’s still time to sponsor us and any donations are much appreciated🤍
