Story

Water of any kind is my first and truest love. I grew up in the water. I’ve find my deepest peace in the ocean, and along rivers that paint the landscapes they flow through green with life.

As most of you know I work for the Tuolumne River Trust, an organization working to protect the Tuolumne Watershed. It is a true honor to work on protecting this beautiful piece of California.

If you live in the Bay Area, your drinking water comes from the Tuolumne, it grows your food and feeds magnificent forests like Yosemite and Stanislaus National Forest. It is the habitat for countless creatures and is a true gem of California.

As we enter year two of the pandemic we need to get creative in order to continue protecting these wild landscapes.

We can’t gather in person, so we are hosting a virtual fundraising adventure. This socially-distanced community fundraiser gives you the opportunity to get outside for a cause!

The funds will:

- Organize more outdoor recreation and education opportunities for kids in the region.

- Coordinate on-the-ground restoration projects. From forests to meadows, to floodplains, and more, we are working on stewarding a more resilient and balanced ecosystem.

- Contribute to environmental policy, as we advocate for policies that restore river flows; and protect wild salmon.

If you are able to participate or give even $5 to this cause, it would help us immensely.
