Story
January 2019,
Michelle was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 35. After six stages of chemo, endless doctors appointments, various side effects and surgery, Michelle is now on the home stretch. It takes the body some time to recover, but the we are praying for sunny weather, although it is a bit chill outside.
Michelle has been rock solid and a true inspiration. On top of all this she has continued to work the hardest job there is, parenting. Especially when there is a 3 and 7 year old involved. I know Michelle has endured some tough moments, like telling the kids and losing her eyelashes, it is a close call as to which one was toughest for her. However, when Michelle sets out to do something, her first thoughts and concerns are only for those around her, a true selfless warrior.
Now for those of you who know me (the weird kid in the picture), the idea of me running 13.1 miles is f*****g hilarious. The only time I've ran... is for an Ice-Cream Van; the only time I've played sport is football and I'm the big kid in centre-back, breaking ankles whilst doing as little running as possible.
One thing is certain. I will run this race. So do not hesitate, just donate. When I see the strength it has taken for Michelle to beat cancer, there is no excuse for me not being able to run 13.1 mile.
This cause is not just for Michelle either. So many people have lost or won the fight with Cancer, Cancer Research helps to support individuals and families in fighting the dreaded C word. Every penny goes a long way with Cancer Research and there is a reason it is the UK's leading charity.
