Story
Hey folks! I was a medical student in Nazareth Hospital back in 1993, and this little Palestinian-Israeli city made a major impact on me. Such wonderful people, and the most dedicated healthcare staff. Although founded in 1861 as a Christian mission hospital, the staff and patients come from many backgrounds - all religions and none - in a region that sure could use a little mutual understanding. I believe in the power of healthcare to heal not only physical ailments, but communities affected by conflict and division. I've seen it work in Northern Ireland - it can work in Israel and Palestine too.
Last year the Nazareth Riders collectively raised £50,000 for the Paediatric Unit, and we hope, with your help, to do even better this year. We're raising funds for a CT scanner for a new stroke unit (slight change of plan from the original Dialysis Unit expansion) which is sorely needed.
