On 23rd May 2010 I shall be attempting the gruelling challenge of a 26 mile run through the streets of Edinburgh in aid of Meningitis U.K.

 

1 in 10 victims of meningitis are killed, and 1 in 7 of those who survive are left with a permanent disability such as loss of limbs/blindness/deafness/brain damage. There is already a vaccine for meningitis C but Meningitis is running a campaign to find a vaccine for meningitis B which causes 90% of meningitis cases in the .
