The YMO team of volunteers getting active and challenging themselves by participating in the Love Luton half marathon and 10k event on 27th October 2019

Story

For those that know me, you’ll know I’m not in shape or fit as I use to be many many years ago. With shin splints & stiff knees I’ve struggled to do more than 1K at a time which has forced me into a clean diet and getting back to the gym. I’m looking to complete the 10K & raise funds for this great cause.

We are so fortunate to have a childhood, go to school & not worry about being exploited for labour. For those of you with children, think of how lucky yours are compared to those orphans born into poverty & forced to work in order to survive. Your grandchildren will be lucky too. The cycle will repeat itself for future generations to come.

I ask of you all to donate something, even if it’s just as little as £10 which is not much more than the UK minimum wage per hour. Even a donation this small is very significant for vulnerable and exploited orphan children. It will help feed, clothe & educate them which gives them a better chance to escape the cycle they are caught up in.

Give them a chance to succeed. Give them an opportunity to escape. Give them hope.
