Story
Hello minions,
Bec, Max and Ruaraidh (that's roo-ree for the non-scots out there, i.e. most of you) are embarking on a little hitchhike to Morocco (that's outside of the E.U!). living it rough, dressed the whole time as shamans.
Madness?
Certainly, but this time it's constructive. We'll be braving the deathly wilds of the French and Spanish motorways on our ad-hoc journey in aid of Link Community Development. We're aiming to raise a minimum of £350 each and would greatly appreciate anything you can give. The money goes directly towards developing and (here's the key bit) sustaining education in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, South Africa and Uganda, giving young people the rare opportunity to escape the cycle of poverty. It's all good throwing money at schools and 'community development' but it boils down to nothing unless the standards are maintained ensuring that pupils and teachers really are better off for the charity's work. Find out more at their website (http://www.lcdinternational.org/) they put it more succinctly than this shaman can, and there's pictures too.
In the words (but not the moral alignment) of Tesco - "every little helps". Seriously, as little as £1 each can make a difference, that's less than half the price of a sandwich! A cheap one at that...
Go on, you know you want to.
Wishing you good Ju Ju,
Bec Max and Rurr
