Story
Dear Friends,
In the past month, hundreds of thousands of people have fled violence in Rakhine state, Myanmar, the majority seeking refuge in Bangladesh. More than 500,000 people, mostly Rohingya women and children, are in urgent need of shelter, medical care, water, and food as they arrive exhausted, traumatised, in overflowing camps and settlements in Bangladesh.
On 29 October, I will be taking part in a 5-day charity deployment and travelling to Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh, to hand deliver vital food aid to the Rohingya Refugees.
The aid includes a 24kg food parcel to be delivered to each family, with items such as rice, oil, onions, vermicelli, lentils, potatoes, sugar, and salt.
I have teamed up with the UK registered charity SKT Welfare (no 1153735) and have decided to do whatever I can to raise money, as well as personally go and deliver this aid to those in desperate need.
I would be grateful for your generous donations and support.
Kind regards
Shahid Miah
