Story
Hi Everyone
We will be travelling to the Syria/Lebanon border on 21 March to deliver critical aid to the Syrian refugee camps.
Many of the volunteers travelling on this deployment have been to the camps before, witnessing the horrendous weather conditions which kill children every year. Even in March the camps experience extreme storms and often several feet of snow with the children having nothing more than slippers and T-shirts to protect them.
Over 10 years of war in Syria has caused the worlds largest refugee crisis, in Lebanon alone, there are over 1.5 million refugees, almost all of which live below the poverty line.
The families living in these camps have now been there for 12 years, they escaped the war in Syria and a lot have lost family members to the war. They rely on charities every month to bring them food packs. The refugees live entirely in the camps, and without food aid the children often go 2-3 days without eating when aid is not delivered.
Our visit will deliver medical aid, tents, mattresses, clothes and food aid to ensure that during Ramadan no family goes hungry when the time to open their fast comes.
We will be delivering food packs which last a family 1 month (£50) and vouchers to buy children's clothing from local stores (£100).
All donations through this link are 100% donation policy and we will report back with videos and photos from every distribution to ensure complete transparency.
Please donate whatever you can to aid the refugees of Syria who have been struggling for the last 12 years.
This project is Zakat applicable.
Thank you/Jazakallah
