Hello Everyone,
I will tell you from the heart why i wanted to create this page.
You see, I had a dream...to come to the Uk to get a better education that will enable me to get a better job, support my family and secure a better future.
Im in the UK now :), realizing my dream...studying what i have always wanted to study, translation. I chose to study translation cause i believe that good translation skills are essential for the Palestinian society. They will help us to get our views known in the rest of the world. They will also enable us to benefit from the research and developments happening in other countries. I wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for the scholarship I obtained from the Durham Palestine Educational Trust and without the generous donations of people like yourselves who wanted to see the dreams of one person come true...
Therefore, I wanted to give the same opportunity i had to other students by going in a 12- mile sponsored walk on the 28th of June, hoping to raise at least 500 Pounds for the trust.
This why your donations are importnat. Every penny you give away counts. By giving money, you are actually giving hope, opportunity and making a difference in the life of one individual who, i could see him/her setting out there dreaming of a better future.
