A few years ago Zack noticed a homeless person on the street and asked me about them for the first time. When I explained it to him his beautiful innocent young mind just couldn’t comprehend that there were people living on the streets because they had no home. He had received pocket money for the very first time earlier that day in exchange for doing some chores all week and was so excited about spending it it in town but then decided to give his pound coin to the homeless man instead. His generosity made my heart swell and that was also the beginning of Zack’s ambitions to do as much as he can to help homeless people.  He is always donating small amounts of money he earns/receives to homeless people/charities and shares ideas with me for things he wants to do to help more when he is older as his wish is that eventually there will be no homeless people!

Zack has been wanting to raise a larger amount of money through a sponsored activity for a homeless charity for a while now and after putting our heads together recently decided that he will attempt to climb the 3 national peaks in 3 weeks (with me staggering behind trying my hardest to keep up) as he loves a good scenic trek. He will do this during 3 consecutive weeks next September and the charity he will donate all the sponsorship money to is Jimmy’s Cambridge which is an amazing local charity providing help to people experiencing homelessness through delivering 24/7 emergency help, support and accommodation for those who would otherwise be sleeping rough. Jimmy’s ultimate aim is to eventually eliminate homelessness in Cambridge which is a great start towards Zack’s dreams of seeing homelessness eliminated everywhere!

Zack will be so grateful for all sponsorship, however big or small, as every last penny will go to a thoroughly deserving cause. 🙏🏽
