We are Strive. And this is our Ramadan campaign for Yemen. War, hunger and coronavirus. The situation in Yemen could not be more critical. The world’s worst humanitarian crisis deepens. After 6 long years of brutal conflict, during which families endured, by famine, cholera, and war, are now facing the extreme hardship of COVID-19. The UN has declared that malnutrition has never been worse in Yemen, and the pandemic has put the food supply under even greater strain. Prophet Muhammad PBUH said “Whoever removes a grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove a grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection” Last Ramadan a small group of us raised over £12000 which provided over 150 families with an iftar food pack that lasted them the whole month. But there are thousands more families that we could not reach. And so we urge you to feed at least one family for this blessed month of Ramadan. Please join us in feeding our brothers and sisters in Yemen. JUST £75 could provide a food pack for a family of SEVEN during the month of Ramadan. Our beloved prophet also said “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” The UN has warned that millions face malnutrition and starvation, and 400,000 children are at risk of starving to death in 2021. When you’re starving and the body weakens, you are much more likely to catch and die from one of the many diseases plaguing communities – such as critical fevers. cholera, or COVID-19. Allah says in the quran: "if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole humanity".
