Story

London Somali Youth are coming together to help those affected back home. We are made up of 14 institutions: UCL, City, QM, KCL, Imperial, Reading, Hertfordshire, Project Hope, Brunel, Kingston, BYF, SGUL, Rhoehampton, SOAS, Meiza, and supported by many others! More than 270,000 displaced by deadly Somalia floods Severe flooding across a large regions of Somalia has left more than a quarter of a million people searching for shelter. And it could get even worse. At least 10 people have died in the town of Beledweyne, west of the capital, Mogadishu. And 270,000 have been displaced with large parts of central and southern Somalia under water. But there is another tropical storm on the way which could affect about a million people in the east Africa region. Salam Charity is on the ground distributing Emergency Aid to help support those 270,000 people displaced by the catastrophe. Food, Water & shelter are the first point of emergency aid being distributed. Please donate as much or as little as you can to help those in most need.

RCN 1142191
Salam Charity was founded in 2011 with the aim to help fight poverty and transform lives. Every night over 800 million people go hungry and nearly 6 million children die each year from preventable diseases. Salam Charity aims to tackle this by providing lifesaving meals, clean water, sanitation, clothing and education. This will allow everyone to realise their birthright of living a happy life by developing their full potential. Salam Charity works in many countries around the world with a particular emphasis on the Rohingya emergency crisis. Salam Charity has a five year strategic plan which will focus on bringing a positive and lasting change in the lives of those affected by poverty. Our aim is to empower people for them to be in charge of their own destinies. We endeavour to support households, local communities and national institutions to develop longer term collective approaches to reinforce their capacities to better respond to, mitigate and prevent humanitarian emergencies and hunger crises. Supported by global celebrities, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and social media influencers, We have one important mission: to save and change lives for the better. We will do what it takes to bring humanity closer to a world free from hunger and poverty.
