Raising much-needed funds to supply specialist equipment to help sick and premature babies. Events like the 24-Hour Sportathon really make a significant difference to these tiny lives.

This is my first sponsored challenge with New Life Special Care Babies. I am delighted and honored to have the opportunity to represent Donnington New Homes as one of the event's Sponsors and raise funds for this wonderful, fantastic charity.   

I attended the New Life events in previous years and have been inspired by all the wonderful work that the charity does to support special care baby units.

In 2019 participated, in the three-day ‘New Life South of France 500K cycling challenge’.  Despite the fact that it was one of the most difficult challenges I had ever faced, following the tough mountain climb on Spanish Island, ‘Le tour Espanyol de Girona 2018, the entire experience was incredibly valuable, and undoubtedly made me a stronger person.

This time I wanted to go above to help raise even more…I will be on the court for the first 12 hours Saturday, May 14th, from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am!  For painful, smelly, and sweaty feet, I prepared 6 pairs of extra socks, 3 tubes of muscle relaxing cream, and a box of talcum baby powder on hand!  (May the force be with me, my team, and everyone else who takes part in the challenge! :))

I am nervous but excited and happy to be raising funds for babies in special need.
