Story

In 2019 my big sister Abbi was told she had a brain tumour which is something that no one wants to hear. Abbi has a really serious tumour and she has had to have surgery on it twice already… she was awake for one  of the surgeries how amazing is that!! Abbi is now having chemo to make sure we can try to stop the growth of her cancer for now!! While Abbi tackles her tumour who is called Tyson - I am going to tackle myself in the pool and I am going to challenge myself to swim everyday in august and smash my 5km target!!

Swim indoors or outdoors whilst raising vital funds for Brain Tumour Research to help find a cure for this devastating disease. You can complete this challenge in a way that suits you and at your own pace. You could swim the same distance every day or do different distances on different days. Spread your challenge throughout the whole month or challenge yourself to try to complete either 2.5,5 or 10k as quickly as you can.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
