Story
Hello and welcome to our Just Giving Page! We are a class of 17 students studying on a Sport Science programme at Lincoln College. As part of a social action project, we wanted to do something positive during the lockdown, whilst encouraging us to stay physically active and mental healthy. We have, therefore, decided to set a target of raising £250.00 for the Sporting Minds UK charity, who have seen a spike in referrals following the national restrictions and we hope that our contribution will allow them to continue their excellent work in supporting athletes with their mental health.
To achieve our target, we are looking to collectively walk, jog or run the equivalent distance from Lincoln College to Land's End in Cornwall - a total of 376 miles (approx. 23 miles each). The lockdown restrictions mean we can't physically walk the distance, so we plan to complete our miles between lessons and outside of our college timetable to promote our own physical and mental health. Who knows, we might even cover enough miles to have walked back again too!
We are starting the task on 01/02/2021 and looking to complete our challenge by 12/02/2021, recording our progress via the Strava app. Any contribution would be welcomed and you can track our progress via our updates on here. Thank you!
