Hello! First of all, thank you for taking the time to give this fundraiser a visit! 

So, in order to raise money for this wonderful charity, I will be running the Richmond Half-Marathon and, whether you like it (looking at you Adithya) or not, I will also be shaving my head!

I've chosen ARUK since they are the UK's leading dementia research charity, with an ambitious but achievable goal of developing the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025. It's sad to read that whilst the leading cause of death in the UK is due to dementia, it receives a disproportionately low amount of research investment compared to other large scale killers such as cancer and CHD.

I've seen how taxing the toll dementia takes on suffers and families alike, both in a care home and personal setting. This charity does some brilliant work in the hope of eventually curbing this, and as a result any donations will be greatly appreciated by both the researchers and the team at ARUK!
