Story
As most of you know, I’m Pakistani. Having spent a few weeks there recently in May, it has been heartbreaking watching the news unfold regarding the floods and devastation this has caused.
Feeling helpless seeing my country like this, so I am raising much needed funds for Penny Appeal's Pakistan Flood emergency response to support people who have been affected by the floods by running London Marathon 2022 and climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp.
During the 11 day trek, I’ll be reaching heights of 18,221ft. It's going to be one of the toughest and brutal challenges of my life.
One third of Pakistan (an area almost the size of the UK) has submerged. More than a million homes have been destroyed or badly damaged in the worst flooding to hit Pakistan in decades. Hundreds of thousands of families have been left homeless, many of whom had very little to start off with, now have nothing.
People in Pakistan urgently need your help. Please dig deep and donate. Help protect and save thousands of families affected by this terrible situation.
Penny Appeal are there to provide communities with the care, shelter, supplies and protection that could save their lives. Your donations are absolutely critical to deploy aid during this crisis.
Love and duas,
Semeena
