Story
Today is the day I launch my fundraising in Memory of James dear sister Mary.
Mary would of been celebrating her 70th Birthday today. Knowing Mary it would have been with all her family and friends at some amazing new restaurant that she had found. (Mary had the ability of always finding the best places to eat)
Sadly Mary lost her last battle with Cancer on November 13th 2017. We as does all the family miss her every single day. She like so many others were taken way to soon.
This is why I have taken up the challenge of entering The Great North Run. To raise funds for the ICR Institute of Cancer Research. I am one of 10 runners who have committed to raise £400 each. Which would be a total of £4000. I am hoping to be able to smash my £400 target. Which is where you my dear friends come in. I have no shame in asking you to donate to my fund-raising I have gone through all my amazing friends on Facebook and realised that every single one of you have in some ways had, have or are having a connection with this evil disease of cancer.
Some of you have had to deal with it yourself, supported a loved one through cancer treatment, and sadly some of you, have like we had to last year say good bye to a loved one. So I beg you, be it a £ or the cost of a pint (£5) in my local ;-) or as much as you can give please please donate to my fundraising page.
All money raised goes directly to ICR as I will fund the trip to the "Great UP North" and good Old (and they are old) army friends are sorting out the luxury accommodation I so deserve :-) So there will be No expenditure what so ever coming out of any fundraising.
Many thanks Love and big hugs to you all, Join me in watching my fundraising grow. xxxx
