On september 6th i shall be taking part in the Adidas women's 5k in support of the amazing charity Women's Aid.

Women's aid is a charity that helps women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.

The statistics surrounding domestic abuse are shocking, they show just how important women's aid is;

1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence at some point in their lives.

Over 2 women per week are KILLED by current or former partners.

One Incidence of domestic violence is reported to the police EVERY MINUTE.

750,000 CHILDREN witness domestic violence EVERY YEAR - in 90% of domestic violence cases children are in the same or next room.

Domestic violence is the largest cause of DEATH worldwide in women aged 19-44, more than war or even cancer!

do you know what this means? someone you know, someone you are close to, is likely to experience domestic violence at some point in their life!!

We want this to STOP!
