I've been extremely lucky to have met an amazing group of people and I'm proud to say that together we will be completing a 6 person Relay Channel Swim on August 27th 2013 as Team Pelican.  We will each need to swim an hour in turn until we reach Calais That's at least 21 miles depening on tides.  But the distance isn't the scariest part - it will only be about 16 degrees Celcius and the rules state NO WETSUITS ALLOWED!!!  Not to mention navigating over 500 vessel crossings a day, blooms of jellyfish, vomitting from sea sickness or swallowing sea water/diesel, and night swimming to name but a few!

All the money I raise will go to Aspire (www.aspire.org.uk)
Each year 1,200 people are paralysed by a spinal cord injury.
Aspire changes lives by supporting people with spinal injuries.
They offer practical support to the 40,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK so that they can lead fulfilled and independent lives.
