The 100k to National Day is a fundraising challenge to support Rifcom in its work in the impoverished communities in the Rif mountains of Morocco. The communities in the province of Chefchaouen have been extremely hard hit by the COVID 19 pandemic and the collapse of the tourism industry in the region. Many local charitable organisations such as BASMA, which provided support for families with disabilities, have seen their donations dry up completely. This has led to people lacking the very basic necessities such as food and fuel. The 100k to National Day challenge aims to raise money for Rifcom projects such as providing food donations for immediate hunger relief for these families, by working in partnership with Rifcom’s well established network of partners and volunteers in Morocco.
