Story
amazing thank you everyone
Having 3 boys and still coping with loosing my mother in 2009, when I found out I was pregnant with my 4th child and told at my 20wk scan it was a girl we were estatic as all my mother wanted was a granddaughter.
Our joy was short lived in fact just 20 min when going back into the scan room, we were told she had a unilateral cleft lip and possibly palate.
We didnt know much about it so decided to do more research, we then discovered the CLAPA website and CLAPA facebook page which have been invaluable.
The support and infomation they gave us really helped us come to terms with our daughters condition and be able to relax and enjoy my pregnancy and look forward to our daughters arrival.
On 17th October 2012 our beautiful daughter Lorena Amelie Hope Foster arrived 2 weeks early weighing a healthy 7lb 5oz. To our surprise she had a bilateral cleft lip and palate.
Lorena had her 1st op to repair her lip on 3rd april 2013 and her palate op on aug 31st July 2013 and to say thank you to clapa for all their support we would like to help raise awareness and money to help other families in the same situation as ourselves.
Please help us raise money for this worthy cause
