Story
On March 2nd 2014, I will be running the Reading Half Marathon for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.
My lovely cousin Rob sadly lost his battle with Leukaemia in December 2013, aged 21 years. He fought his illness with such courage and bravery. He has inspired me and so many others with his positive attitude, especially my lovely sister Vanessa who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
This is a big challenge for me as I have never done anything like this before and fitting in the training with our four children, is a challenge in itself! Anna and Tom have entered The Green Park run, which is a 2.8k race, ran before The Reading Half Marathon. They too wanted to help raise some money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.
My friend Jo is running with me (she has lots of experience at this kind of thing!!) and Emma is my training buddy who is dragging me out come rain or shine! Neil is stepping up on 'Daddy duty' when I am out training, but he is also running. Between us we hope to raise a lot of money for this vital charity.
So, please donate whatever you can, however little.
Thank you so much!
Sarah xx
