Story
I am really excited to be raising funds for Street Child United this month alongside my colleagues from Engage. We are aiming to raise £10,000 towards this amazing charity which gives street children a voice by campaigning for access to education, protection from violence, birth identity and gender equality. These funds will go towards getting football teams of street children from around the world to their own 2022 World Cup in Doha. The media attention they create will help to shine a light on the many challenges these kids face daily
Having spent some time in India and Uganda working with children who have either been rescued from the streets or are very vulnerable, this is a cause that is close to my heart.
I am delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds for Street Child United so they can continue their fantastic work. Can you imagine being a child and being left to fend for yourself on the streets, not knowing where you are going to get your next meal from or whether it is safe to even close your eyes as you lie down at night?
That is why we are fundraising! So these children, the future generation can have a voice and the opportunity for hope and a future.
To do so I will be walking, running and cycling the more than 18,000 kilometres to Doha and back along with my colleagues at Engage. We would really appreciate your support to raise my £500 target and the overall company team target of £10,000.
Please consider sponsoring me if you can, no matter how small. Together we can make a difference.
