The Source Of the River Ganges Trek and beyond high up in the Himalayas to the Kalindi Khal Pass (5947m)
Hi Folks
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Now you're all probably wondering why my trek picture shows Mt Everest (8850m), well just so that you can gauge for yourself, I will be trekking with my nephew Shiv who is only 15 years old to a point just less than 3000m short from the top of the highest mountain in the world!!
The trek starts from Gangotri at an altitude of 3050m moving to Bhojbasa (3600m) to Gaumukh (3900m). Then we trek to Nandavan (4570m) to Vasuki Tal (4900m), to Khara Pathar (5480m). We then trek the Sweta glacier (5500m) and finally up to the Kalindi Khal Pass (5947m).
Its going to be a tough climb but the real challenge is to raise £2000
Our trek is self financed so all the money you donate is going to help 3 fantastic charities
Sewa International- Sewa projects in poor and rural parts of India.
Candlelighters (reg. charity no:1045077)- Leeds based childrens cancer charity
One Teacher schools in India and Nepal (reg. charity no:1103125)
Your donation is going to make a big difference to a childs health, education and development.
So please sponsor our trek and help us achieve our target
Thank you
Seema and Shiv
