Story
The Health and Safety team suffered a further loss earlier this year. Ray McMullan passes away in February leaving a huge gap in the team. In order to make something out of this loss I decided the team needed a challenge – a 100 day challenge – 10,000 steps for 100 days. Hence this challenge was borne – to add some competition into the process a team from Engineering have joined us in the challenge.
Our Challenge is to complete 10,000 steps per day for 100 days – and raise money for a number of charities along the way. Charities who have impacted, helped and supported our colleagues who are no longer with us. The three charities we are supporting this year are;
Mesothelioma UK in memory of Stuart Packard - Supporting those with asbestos related diseases and helping in treatment of the diseases.
Multi System Atrophy Trust in memory of Ray McMullan - Research and Development into the treatment of this little known brain disease which affects 40 to 60 year olds; which is believed Ray suffered from.
Winston’s Wish – supporting young children through the loss of a parent; Stuart left behind two young children.
Please support our efforts to help these very worthwhile charities
