Hello friends.
I have had a slight brain malfunction here, so be patient - be GENEROUS.
On 30th September 2007, I shall be running the Clarendon Way Half Marathon. That's 13 miles. I am doing this to raise money for two extremely worthwhile causes:
1) WELLS FOR INDIA. Wells for India is an international NGO (non-governmental organization) dedicated to the provision of safe water to the poorest people in Rajasthan, India. They work with communities to implement a range of water harvesting measures using natural watersheds, and provide emergency water supplies and food during droughts. (www.wellsforindia.org)
(All funds raised through this site will go directly to Wells for India.)
2) THE SOUTHMPTON & WINCHESTER VISITORS GROUP. The SWVG supports refugees and asylum seekers in the Southampton area, many of whom are destitute.
(Funds being raised via sponsorship forms and other, non-electronic means.)
Both of these organizations NEED MUCHOS CASH, so please sponsor me. I promise to run the whole way. My target is to raise AT LEAST £1000 for both charities - that's £2000+ in total. The maths is just about manageable.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wells For India will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So, pretty please - sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support, heathens.
