I've been to Syria, not once but twice.  I found the people there amongst the most hospitable I've ever met.  Which is why I find the crisis in Syria all the more tragic.  

I've also visited Ukraine, a wonderful country and people.  The war there is unjust and unnecessary - this is the 21st century not 1936.

I'd like to do something about all this, and here's a chance to give something back.
