Story
I will be taking part in the Celtic Sleep Out, London at St Anne's Primary on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in support of Celtic FC Foundation's annual Christmas Appeal. I will be spending the night from 9.00pm to 5.00am battling the elements outdoors, all for a wonderful cause. The Appeal will help to bring the magic of the festive season to children, families, pensioners, those in refuge, the homeless, refugees and others who are struggling at an especially challenging time of year.
Primarily this is in memory of my wonderful dad who passed away suddenly in June this year - a life long Celtic supporter who in numerous way embodied the spirit of Brother Walfrid, yet in an unassuming manner. It has been known that many a time he gave the shirt of his back to those that may have needed one!
My brother, Eamonn and I are blessed to have had such an amazing upbringing; both our parents have instilled within us to value the dignity of all people - our house growing up was 'Teach an phobhail' (the people's house) where our family home was a refuge for many that needed; a place of unconditional acceptance and love.
This event is a small token of my gratitude and I know that any monies raised will make a huge difference to those that are in need.
I am grateful for you visiting my page and if you are able to contribute in anyway - a bonus, especially during these tough economic times.
Go raibh mile maith agat x
