Yay! We did it! Completed our 19th Great North Run on a very warm day on Tyneside. Got the sunburnt shoulders to prove it! A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. We really couldn't do it without you. On the day you helped raise around £13 million for charities... you are amazing people!
And our fundraising page is here if anyone still wants to donate. Thank you. x

Hi Everyone
Here we go again! Yes, on the 8th September we will be up in Newcastle taking part in our 19th Great North Run! Along with another 50,000+ runners we'll be running 13.1 miles from the centre of Newcastle to the coast at South Shields, and this year we're fundraising for Histio UK.
Why? Because Louise's friend has an amazing son called Jack who is currently fighting a battle with a rare auto immune blood cancer, LCH.
In 2014, at the age of just 3 Jack was admitted to hospital after a period of weight loss, loss of appetite and fatigue. After a variety of tests were carried out Jack was diagnosed with a rare auto immune cancer of the blood called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and successfully undertook 12 months of chemotherapy and steroid treatment.
Jack continued to be under review but in February 2018 the family received the devastating news that he had relapsed with three new lesions. He is currently undertaking a second line of chemotherapy and steroid treatment.
Histio UK is a British charity whose objective is to provide the relief of sickness and preservation of good health among patients affected by histiocytic diseases, their families and carers. Also to improve protocols for patient management and ultimately put measures in place for prevention of histiocytic diseases.
With your kind generosity we want to help Jack, his family and others like them, so please donate now.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for reading this and for your continued support. We really do appreciate it.
