We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year our family was hit with devastating news of cancer. Since then its been a lot of highs and lows and we continue to stay strong and tackle it together. The Christie have been incredibly helpful during this difficult time and so I want to give something back and try and raise a little money. The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to patients and their families.

Alongside the news we received last year, I had a brutal 12 months consisting of an ACL reconstruction, crutches, knee braces, operations and physio but I'm finally coming out the other side. So I thought what better way to test myself than do a personal hell week (well, if you include training its a lot more than a week!) I will be doing the Cheshire Sprint Triathlon on May 17th and the Manchester 10K on the May 24th.  Those of you that know me will know cardio has never been my favourite so you'll know how much of a challenge this will be.

Unfortunately, most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. Luckily we've been given help and support from The Christie so please help me support them. All I ask in exchange for my sweat and tears is a little donation!

Thank you in advance
