Story
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Sean and I’m a Nurse Specialist at the Urology Stone Centre at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle (you may have spotted me on Channel 4’s Geordie Hospital!).
This July, I’m tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (in just 12 hours…) to raise funds for Newcastle Hospitals Charity, the official charity that supports The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Working at the Freeman, I have seen first-hand how the charity has helped to support the staff, patients and wider community of the hospitals, and it seemed an ideal way to show my support.
I have also had friends who have benefitted from the support offered by Newcastle Hospitals Charity in the areas of Foetal Medicine and I have seen how this charity can provide support for Adults with Neurological conditions therefore I would like to dedicate this challenge to one of my oldest friends and to a family that are close to my heart.
I have completed the Three Peaks before (although our group had to get rescued, due to no fault of my own haha) so I’m hoping for a successful journey this time!
Any donations, big or small would be amazing.
