So here I am again, running! For those of you who know me, will know I have run the London Marathon 3 times before and on the 2nd, let alone the 3rd occasion, I said I'd never do anything like it again! Fast forward 7 years and the running shoes are back on again, this time for the Great North Run (GNR).

The GNR is an event I have always been interested in and this year a colleague of mine (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/apc4och) told me he was running for Oasis Community Housing and joked I should run it too. Never really one to turn down a challenge I accepted, then went for my first training run and regretted it instantly!

I then sat at my desk and really submerged myself in the charity Oasis Community Housing and the amazing work it does to support those who are facing or experiencing homelessness. The recent pandemic has only intensified or increased the issue in many ways for those less fortunate. If I can put myself through a bit of pain for a couple of hours to help those in need, then I am excited to do that!
