September 15th would have been Joseph's aka Micky's 70th Birthday, he didn't want fuss or any bother because he was a very private person although he would have done something with no fanfare with family , unfortunately on March 3rd at the age of 69 he lost his life after a four month illness due to sepsis , he is not hear but I am..so instead of dwelling and being sad on this day I will be doing what he would do himself and be selfless and help a very worthwhile charity ,the last 16 days of his life was spent at St Joseph's Jospice in Thornton not far from the family home and was surround by his family , the care he was given there was amazing and the people that work there deserve more than casual praise seen in some local papers and social media ,he had all the nurses and carers laughing and joking till the end and he never complained once about how ill he was and he was seriously ill, always a smile on his face until closed his eyes to sleep for the last time passing peacefully in the early hours of March 3rd with his wife Hazel and two sons Sean(Me) and Nick at his bedside. So for this amazing place Jospice in Thornton I want to raise funds for them as they do all the work and keep the organisation going through donations, I've seen first hand what care they give and how first class they are at it, so it's going to be my fathers birthday to carry on his good deed of doing for others I will be walking from Blackpool Tower at 00:00 (Midnight) to Radio City Tower( St Johns Beacon) to help out what I call a group of "Angels"......no matter how small no matter how big what you donate will go to this organisation so they can continue to make the people comfortable and have decency in the last days, a near 50 mile walk I will be doing and will be walking past the Jospice , our Family Home, and the Scotland Road area where Joseph grew up and St Anthony's Church to which he got the most rapturous applause on the day of his funeral, he deserved no less, but knowing him he would of been embarrassed as he was the most humble of people I ever knew....so let's all give one last big THUMB UP for Micky and give what you can and myself and the Family will be so grateful.

Thank You
Sean
