We are having a midlife crisis. Thank you for your support:

SDH consultant orthopaedic surgeons Neal Jacobs and Phil Pettit are challenging themselves to complete IronMan France in Nice on 30th June 2019. This full distance triathlon invovles a 3.8km sea swim followed by a 180km mountainous road cycle ride, followed by a full marathon run.

Not to be outdone, Phil's wife Katrina Pettit, one of the SDH consultant paediatricians, has entered the IronMan UK event on 14 July 2019.

We are all nervous and excited in equal measure, and would like to use this challenge to raise funds for the Salisbury District Hospital Stars appeal. The Stars appeal is our hospital charity, which does a tremendous amount of work to improve the experience for our patients and their families.
