Peak District Mighty Hike 2024 - full marathon · 20 July 2024 ·
If you know me you will likely know I have needed Macmillans support, I know what excellent work they do and the help they give first hand. So 8 years on from my breast blip, 6 years on from my ovarian blip ,I’m doing this walk again (after my very slow attempt in 2019 during my recovery) to show a huge thanks to Macmillan for the support they gave me and for the support they give to thousands of others every day.
Macmillan help with getting through the everyday life outside of treatment , job fears , mortgage worries along with emotional support.
Cancer has affected the lives of us; The scrambled legs on toes team people we love, so this charity means something to us all.
My thoughts will be with those who have been affected by cancer and remembering those who are no longer with us.
In July 2024, we are taking on a Mighty Hike through the beautiful and dramatic Peak District National Park to raise vital funds for people living with cancer. We have pledged to raise £250 per person and would appreciate any support in reaching this.
By fundraising our pledge, we could pay for ;a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer.
