Story

In memory of our darling daughter, Scout Christina, we are asking our nearest and dearest to make a donation to SANDS.

In the hours and days after Scout's death, we found comfort and support in the resources and memory box provided by the charity and hope that, by supporting SANDS, we can raise awareness of the issue of Stillbirth. We were cared for so well by the midwives at Queen Elizabeth hospital and the training they receive from SANDS in supporting bereaved parents and families at the most harrowing of times is invaluable.

SANDS supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.

SANDS is a national charity, established by bereaved parents in 1981.  They have 3 core aims which are to:

  • Support anyone affected by the death of a baby;
  • To work in partnership with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families; and
  • To promote research and changes in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies' lives
So please make a donation in Scout's memory.

Lots of love
