We provide an advanced trauma team to seriously injured people in London

Story

I am throwing myself off a hospital building, off a helipad. I am scared of heights, I want to stress that. I am REALLY scared of heights.

I will be abseiling off The Royal London Hospital Helipad in aid of the London Air Ambulance. It is Europe's highest helipad and is taller than Big Ben ( Her Maj's tower yadda yadda for the pedants)

I have a chronic disease and have circa 6 weeks to decide if I want my pancreas removed to hopefully eliminate the highly likely outcome of dying of cancer at some point. I have a genetic mutation, which is cool, i'm a X-Man..alas the SPINK1 mutation is not a fun mutation to have. Why couldn't I get X-ray vision or something amazing?

I won't be able to do anything cool again if I say yes to the operation. The Ambulance Service has taken me to ICU and A&E over a dozen times. These men and women are angels. Horrendously, the choppers are charities and they need us to support them.

So, I want YOU to say thank you to them, I want you to help them out in the HOPE you never, ever need them.

Cheers, Scott.
