Story
Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes? As many as 4.8 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now. That's why this summer I'm taking steps for my own body and for everybody living with diabetes. For all the mums, dads, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, grandparents, and best friends.
I signed up for the challenge as it’s a cause that hits me on a personal level this time. Just over a year ago I was diagnosed with the condition, and since then I have been on the journey of learning to live with and manage the condition.
Most people assume there are only two types of diabetes, however there are at least 10 types and they’re still finding more. Even today, I’m still awaiting results to determine which specific type I am so that the way we treat it can be properly identified.
