We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

I'm off to Botswana in November for two weeks to coach cricket to African kids (and their teachers) in rural schools and orphanages.

I'm doing this through the Cricket Without Boundaries charity, (http://www.cricketwithoutboundaries.com) which aims to deliver HIV awareness and personal empowerment messages to kids via the medium of cricket.

Cricket Without Boundaries relies on generous donations from the public to carry out its important work.  I've committed to raising at least £750!  Any donation you can spare would be massively appreciated!

Your donation will go directly to Cricket Without Boundaries for the charity's capital costs (eg supplying new cricket gear to the schools and orphanages) - I'm self-funding my flights, food and other costs of my time in Botswana.

Another way of donating is to sponsor me Per Run Batted This Season. Last year I achieved 540 runs. Pledges so far mean that I'm donating £1.08 per run. If you wish to play along this way email  me at Peejuk@btinternet.com.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks,

Scott

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
