Every minute of every day 100,000 people in Scotland struggle to breathe as a result of chronic chest illness.
CHSS care about those left isolated, worried and frightened as their condition worsens. As yet, there is no cure.
Every 45 minutes someone in Scotland will have a heart attack.
CHSS care about the survivors who are anxious and frustrated about what lies ahead. They care about those left behind following the 9,000 premature deaths from heart disease in scotland every year.
Every 45 minutes someone in Scotland will have their first stroke.
CHSS care about the recovery of survivors in there upward struggle back to independence. They care about the young people left coping with the loss of a parent to stroke- while family life is shattered.
And they care about the thousands of people in scotland who are looking after loved ones with chest heart and stroke conditions right now.
Chest, heart and stroke scotland (chss) not only offer help and support to these people but also to their families, loved ones, carers. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) funds vital medical research into every aspect of the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chest, heart and stroke illness. their current research programme is worth over £600,000 a year, and is one of the largest charitably-funded programmes in Scotland. My fiancee suffers from chronic asthma and watching her struggle to breathe is hard. Family members have also had heart attacks and strokes. Watching how these illnesses effect these people is very hard. Please guys so your support by donating lets help find a solution to their problems, illnesses. every little donation helps and could go a long way. With such high statistics you could be the one dealing with a chest heart or stroke condition, whether its you or a loved one. Donations go to funding state of the art research studies in all of scotlands university medical schools. They fund research from nurses and health professionals to ensure research is focused on real needs of patients.
